Together we will create a ceremony, formal or informal, that celebrates your love, friendship and commitment to each other. Marriage is a journey that you will take together. It is important to me that you start this journey with a ceremony that is unique and filled with joy.  Your wedding day will live forever in your minds.  

We will meet and get to know each other.  I will help you with the legal requirements for your marriage and then we’ll move on to putting your feelings into words.  What you mean to each other and what marriage will mean for you.  I have many examples of all the different parts of the wedding ceremony and together we will create your perfect ceremony.  I can also provide books of readings and poems you might like to use.  I am always just a phone call or email away! 

For couples based overseas, this process can all be completed via email and we need only meet when you arrive in New Zealand. 

Ceremonies which can be incorporated into your marriage service:

• The Candle Ceremony - the Bride and Groom light the shared marriage candle.  This can include other family members to signify the joining of two families.  I can provide beautifully named and decorated candles for you to cherish.
• The Sand Ceremony - similar to the Candle ceremony, and also able to include family members.  I can provide the sand and containers for you to have as a keepsake.
• The Rose Ceremony - The Bride and Groom present each other with a rose as the first gift to each other as husband and wife.
• Blending of families - Where the Bride and Groom want to include children from previous relationships.
